The GrowProbe is a moored water-quality sensor for farm sites. It logs temperature, turbidity, light and current (via tilt angle) to a schedule, and is set up and configured through the same PEBL App used by the SubCam.
What you can do with a GrowProbe
- Continuous water-quality logging. Temperature, turbidity and light across their full operating range.
- Current speed and direction from tilt. Reports tilt angle (0 to 85°, roughly 0 to 2.5 knots) and heading (0 to 360°).
- Flexible logging rate. From 10 readings a second to one a day, with burst and averaging modes.
- Built for the sea. POM-C enclosure with titanium hardware, rated for continuous submersion to 50 m.
- Long deployments. Up to 320 days on a single charge at a 30-minute sampling rate.
Set up in four steps
- Power up. Unscrew the float to reach the power button, then press and hold it for 5 seconds.
- Connect to the PEBL App over the GrowProbe's own WiFi network.
- Configure your settings. Calibrate the compass and turbidity sensor, then set your deployment details and schedule.
- Deploy. Screw the float back on and deploy the probe.
